A Victim Of A Gang Shooting Wrote A Heartfelt Message On The Charleston Suspect’s Facebook Page

Marcus Stanley, New Life For Youth graduate and gospel musician,  made national news today with his viral Facebook post to the suspect of the Charleston Church Massacre.  His lengthy and heartfelt message was a plea to the killer to turn his life over to Jesus.

“I don’t look at you with the eyes of hatred, or judge you by your appearance or race, but I look at you as a human being that made a horrible decision.”

Stanley, a victim of gang violence himself, was shot eight times and left for dead.  Later, after turning to pain killers to fight the pain from multiple life-saving surgeries he became addicted and came to New Life For Youth for help.  It was there that he turned his life over to Jesus and learned the true power of forgiveness as he even forgave those who had shot him.

For some the attention from the press may have made the post seem planned but for those of us who know Marcus best its just who he is now... ready to reach every lost person, ready to give hope where there is none.  "We love because HE first loved us." 1 John 4:19
